Hello. I’ve not posted in a while. There are a few reasons for this.
I’ve been in Japan, learning Japanese and enjoying playing music with the approximately fifteen old-time musicians who live in Japan (all but one of them Japanese natives). But a couple weeks ago the study abroad semester came to a close and then I flew back to America, and now I’m enjoying about a month of winter break before I return to university.
Here’s something I’ve been playing around with recently and might develop further in the future. As it stands, it’s essentially variations on the first few bars of Gymnopédie No. 1 by Erik Satie, which then progresses into a rendition of Someday.
